The unique Cycladic architecture with narrow streets and small passages make the island an exceptional vacation attraction. Behind the harbor stretches a hillside with a Medieval section where you can find the Naxos Castle. Walking around and in the Castle is a must while the panoramic views will take the visitors breath.

Naxos Island consists of more that 60 villages spread all over. The most important villages are: Galini (5Km from Naxos Town), Halki, Apiranthos, Melanes, Potamia, Koronos, Agios Arsenios village overlooking the southwest part of the island.   Engares: a lovely village towards the north of the island, not far from Naxos Town well known for its taverns that serve local meat and vegetables. Apollon: an old small settlement of has undergone tourist developments in recent years. The kouros and the quiet beaches are the main attractions. Filoti: one of the most famous and beautiful naxos villages gathers many tourists each year to admire the breathtaking view of the mountains the relaxing climate and the picturesque scene.
